Hello Dolphins!

I am honored to join the Lake Mary Elementary family! I am committed to ensuring Lake Mary stays true to its mission of promoting self-esteem, strong academic achievement, creativity and acceptance of responsibility through building relationships and establishing high academic expectations in a safe, positive environment that unifies staff, parents and community to prepare all students for success in real-life experiences.

I have served as an ESE teacher, primary/intermediate teacher, Educational Technology Facilitator, School Administration Manager, and Assistant Principal. I am married with two children and a goofy miniature dachshund. I love spending time with my family hiking and watching soccer games.

I am thrilled to call Lake Mary Elementary my “home” for the third year in a row. I am fortunate to work with such an amazing staff. LME families contribute to the success of our school and share in our commitment to education. The best part of my day though, is interacting with our students. Their smiling faces bring me such joy, they truly are the reason we are all here! (Oh, and the dogs in the car rider line are pretty great, too!)

Prior to my role as the School Administration Manager, I was a reading/instructional coach as well as a primary and intermediate teacher. When I am not at work, I keep busy attending my teenage daughter’s volleyball games, watching her play on the court is my favorite thing!

Hi, I am excited to be a Lake Mary Dolphin this year! My husband and I have lived in Lake Mary for the past 8 years and love this area and I am looking forward to being a part of the community on the educational side. This is the first time that I have lived and worked at a school in the same area where I can see students out and about in the community, so this is a new experience for me after being in education for 23 years. I was a teacher for 13 years and taught 3rd and 4th grades after that I moved into administration where I worked as a Behavior Specialist, School Administration Manager and I have been an Assistant Principal for the past 6 years.

My husband and I have recently become grandparents and have a one-year-old grandson. We have two children, a son, and a daughter. They are 28 and 29 so it’s been a long time since we had a little one around.

We enjoy spending time with our children and love to travel. Each year we pick a different state to visit, and our goal is to see all 50 states.
